Gas Leak Causes Evacuation at Santa Monica High School

5/18: About 500 students were evacuated from two classroom buildings at santa monica high school Wednesday, students said. The incident was caused by an apparent leak of natural gas. Southern California Gas came and fixed the leak and the evacuation ended.

The evacuation occurred at the end of first period and lasted about 25 minutes, student sources said.
