Breaking: Widespread Google Search Outage Reported Early Tuesday Morning

50 reports of inability to login into Gmail, other Google products in US, Australia

A widespread outage on certain Google products has been reported at 1:28 am PST, October 11, 2016.

Downdetector.com says it has 50 reports of inability to login into Gmail, other Google products in US, Australia. Google Adsense is reporting obviously incorrect figures. We are able to use search and Gmail functions here in Los Angeles County, California.

Google is the world's largest search engine. The company also offers Youtube, Android phones, Google maps, Google Talk and the Google + platform.

On September 16, 2016 some corporate users of Google’s Gmail couldn’t use the email service for more than an hour, because of an unspecified technical problem, a mishap that could affect Google’s pitch to corporate customers. On Sept. 16 at 12 p.m. Eastern Time, Alphabet Inc.’s Google said it had identified the cause of the outage but hadn’t yet resolved it. The outage, which only affects some corporate users of Gmail, began shortly before 11:16 a.m. EDT, according to a Google webpage. At 12:40 p.m. EDT, the company said service had been restored for some users and it expected “a resolution for all users in the near future.”

Some employees of Dow Jones, the News Corp unit that publishes The Wall Street Journal, were affected by the outage. Employees of other companies complained about the disruption to their workdays on Twitter.
