Naked, Hooved Hillary Clinton Statue Starts Melee In Downtown New York

Following a set of naked Donald Trump statutes which were vandailized, artist executes the inevitable

In a very contentious presidential election campaign, Americans have a hard time keeping their thoughts to themselves.

First an artist executed a series of naked Donald Trump statues, most of which were torn apart. They're surviving statue, from Hollywood, is being auctioned off. Now, an artist in New York City has placed a papier-mâché naked grotesque Hillary statue on the streets of Manhattan. A face that appears to be Donald Trump appears from the corner near her naked breasts and her feet are hooved; like a horse or Satan. This from the New York Post.

An I rate woman knocked down the statue, breaking off parts of it and sitting on it at around 7 a.m., while the unnamed artist and a male supporter tried to save it, witnesses said.

She called police who told the unnamed artist to move it. The statue was gone by 7:30 a.m.

"Yeah I hope they put you in cuffs," the male artist said during Tuesday's brouhaha. "I'm just trying to preserve my art here."

"This is my workplace, I have to look at this?" the upset woman said.

As she sat on the statue, a man sticking up for the artist shouted out: "Does anyone have a forklift?"

The artist identified himself to witnesses as 27-year-old Anthony Scioli.

When reporters showed up at a West 35th Street address listed for Scioli, a young man there – who doesn't resemble the alleged artist at the scene – said he knew nothing about it.

His irate mom, though, angrily said the work was crafted by a pal of her son.

"It was Danny!" she screamed. "It was Danny, his childhood friend who never grew up!"

While Scioli said he had absolutely no involvement with the stunt, he nonetheless defended it.

"That's the nature of the work. It wasn't built to last. I think it's unfortunate," the young man said. "I do believe satire gets to the truth of matters. It was lighthearted. The way it escalated is unfortunate."

Scioli also claimed he doesn't know who Donald Trump and Clinton are.

"I completely had nothing to do with it. Someone gave my name," he said. "I had nothing to do with it. I had nothing to do with the Hillary Clinton or the Trump statue, I never heard of these people."
