I'm Too Fat For This Show: Kate Huffman rocks the Fringe Festival

Her unstoppable energy is much like Amy Schumer's

In what is by far the most entertaining one person show I have ever seen anywhere anytime Kate Huffman is knocking it out of the park with her one woman show I'm Too Fat For This Show wrapping up Sunday, June 25th at 4:00 p.m. She tells her story of her long time battle with her OCD eating disorder which, among other unpleasant things forces her to live entirely "by the numbers." Don't understand? Go see the show and you will.

It took Kate over two years to develop this show to get it ready to present and present she does telling her tale with 18 characters and a blend of audio visual support. In my more than a half century of enjoying a wide range of theatrical events and well over two decades of reviewing them I have never before witnessed the unstoppable energy Kate Huffman brings to the stage. That alone makes it well worth watching. At one point a gentleman sitting next to me commented, "She is much like Amy Shumer." Yeah, I thought only more entertaining quite possibly because the topic being presented is so personal to Kate. .

The sad news is the show is about to end. Kate Huffman's final performance for the 2017 Hollywood Fringe Festival will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 25th at the Lounge Theatre, 6201 Santa Monica Boulevard, Hollywood, California. She is getting ready to take this show on a national tour, but don't wait, go see it now. Tickets are available here: http://www.hollywoodfringe.org/projects/4586. Of the far too many one person shows I have seen I'm Too Fat For This Show written and performed by Kate Huffman is solidly number one. I can't speak for Oscar or Tony or Emmy but clearly Kate Huffman gets the 2017 Ronnie Award for best solo performance by a woman.
