Disney World in Orlando will Reopen on Tuesday after Weekend Closure

Hurricane Irma forces only the 4th closure since Disney World opened in 1971.

The latest from Walt Disney World is that the park will reopen on Tuesday. Hurricane Irma forces only the 4th closure since Disney World opened in 1971. There may be modifications to some attractions and entertainment offerings, says a press release from Disney:

"After an initial assessment of our property, Walt Disney World's Theme Parks and Disney Springs will reopen tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 12 with normal, advertised operating hours. Special events, such as Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, will also take place. Water Parks will remain closed tomorrow and will reopen later this week. Details to follow.

Epcot – 9:00am-9:00pm

Disney's Animal Kingdom – 9:00am-9:00pm

Disney's Hollywood Studios – 9:00am-9:00pm

Disney Springs – 10:00am-12:00am                                                                           

Blizzard Beach – Closed                                       

Typhoon Lagoon – Closed
