Spaces Santa Monica Offers Coffee & Creative Quarters on Arizona & Lincoln Blvd

Private offices start at $981/mo and are light & airy. Spaces is not your father's Fegen Suite.

It has been over fifty years since circus performer and attorney Paul Fegen invented the concept of renting a floor and subdividing it into offices for different companies, with a central reception and mailroom. Now Spaces Santa Monica has taken the concept one step further.

Where can you go to hang out with other professionals, create important projects, and just generally make money while being yourself, on an entrepreneurs budget?

Amsterdam-born creative workspace pioneer, Spaces, has opened its Santa Monica location; its fifth site in California. The Santa Monica location features four floors of private offices, above a public (but very quiet) Elabrew Coffee Cafe. Spaces is not your fathers Fegen Suite.

There are also over 145 private offices available for rent and three meeting rooms that can be rented by the hour or day by members or community residents. For $160 a month, you may receive mail. For around $1000 to $2000, you may rent a private office seating 2 to six people. Larger offices, windows and balconies are add-ons. But anyone can hang out in the cafe, for the price of a cup of coffee.

Spaces Santa Monica is at 730 Arizona Avenue. It offers professionals in the region an impressive 26,646 square foot hub built around the concept of community and shared ideas.

The second location in the Los Angeles area following Spaces Fairfax which debuted in West Hollywood earlier this year. Spaces Santa Monica boasts a 5,000 square foot business club allowing members to work and interact. It occupies the entire building on the Southwest Corner of Arizona and Lincoln.

Business and networking events will be hosted at the site to further encourage connection and collaboration. Spaces has been acquired by Regus, long a provider of "Fegen Suites" and shared office spaces.

Spaces Santa Monica is the company's thirteenth location in North America and part of a rapid expansion that will see more than 15 additional openings in the coming year.

This expansion will include at least three more Spaces in the Los Angeles area including locations in the Arts District and Irvine.

Used by global firms across Europe and more recently in Australia, including Facebook, Uber and GoPro, Spaces has pioneered a professional, lifestyle-driven working environment founded on principles of collaboration, inclusivity and authentic, considered design that reflects the company's 'Inspire to Work' philosophy.

Correction, 11/2: "Spaces is a brand of IWG plc, a new holding company which includes several brands including Spaces, Regus, Open Office, Color and others. Spaces and Regus are separate brands under the IWG umbrella."
