    At approximately 5:50 PM on April 18, 2016, Santa Monica Fire Department was called to investigate a possible Southern California Edison Transformer fire in the 400 Block of Washington Ave. Ultimately the electrical problem was mitigated by SCE crews, but not until after an approximate 1.5 hour power outage.     The Board of Directors of Advocates for Malibu Public Schools (AMPS) has decided not to be part of a California Voting Rights Act lawsuit filed against the City of Santa Monica. In an attempt to force the City to change its Charter from city-wide to districted Council and School Board elections, several groups last week sued Santa Monica alleging civil rights violations.     CNN reports that Former Pennsylvania U.S. Sen. Harris Wofford announced Sunday that he is marrying a man 50 years his junior, almost 20 years after his wife died.     LA CAÑADA FLINTRIDGE, CA- Sport Chalet is closing all its stores and shutting down its online sales, the La Cañada Flintridge sporting goods company announced Saturday.     At approximately 7:37 AM April 19, 2016, Santa Monica Fire Department received word of a construction accident in front of the Wyndham Hotel, 100 block of the Colorado Esplanade. Failing that, the lady left in her SUV and led multiple law enforcement agencies from Pasadena, to Thousand Oaks and Downtown Los Angeles.
