LA Marathon Closing Streets from SM to Dodgers Stadium

The annual LA Marathon is happening this weekend, and that means roads from Santa Monica to Dodgers Stadium will be closed for a good portion of Sunday. Closures will begin as early as 4 a.m. and continue through 5 p.m.

In Santa Monica, San Vicente will be closed all the way from Wilshire Blvd, to Ocean Avenue. Ocean Avenue will be closed south to Pico Blvd.

A detailed list of closures can be found on LA Marathon's website.

As they pass the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Hollywood sign and Grauman's Chinese Theatre with the sounds of performances and cheers filling the air, 2013 ASICS LA Marathon runners will know that they've truly arrived in the entertainment capital of the world. Approximately 24,000 participants will enjoy over 85 points of entertainment as they make the trek from the Stadium to the Sea in this year's sold‐out race.

"We're fortunate to live in a city that's home to some of the most talented performers and entertainers in the world," says LA MARATHON LLC Chief Operating Officer Nick Curl. "The featured lineup of bands and cheerleaders for the 2014 ASICS LA Marathon along with our official charity participation will reflect the very best of the diverse communities along the route. We invite everyone to come out and join the fun!"
