City Employee Arrested

On Friday, May 30, 2014 the Los Angeles Police Department reported the arrest of Donald Condon, age 55, of Culver City for misdemeanor child annoyance. It is alleged that he took inappropriate photographs of minors in public while chaperoning them on a Santa Monica Police Activities League (PAL) outing to a Dodger’s game. Mr. Condon is a part-time employee of the City of Santa Monica. He was placed on paid administrative leave on Monday, June 2, 2014 pending the outcome of the ongoing criminal and administrative investigations. The City takes this situation very seriously and is cooperating with the Los Angeles authorities. The City took immediate action to inform the families of those youth who participated in the outing and will continue to take steps to insure the wellbeing of the youth.
