SM Beachfront House Going to Market for $29 Million

A beachfront home in Santa Monica, Calif., will list for $29 million, according to listing agent Santiago Arana of the Agency.

The roughly 10,000-square-foot home sits on Santa Monica State Beach, on a sandy stretch north of the Jonathan Club where there are only a few other homes, Mr. Arana said. The 11,000-square-foot lot is one of the biggest in the area, he said, and the house has 10 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms.

The home also has an underground garage that fits around eight cars, Mr. Arana said, allowing visitors to turn around rather than back up onto the busy Pacific Coast Highway.

The home was built in 1991 and is owned by Shiekh Ellahi, founder of the California-based retailer Shiekh Shoes.

Mr. Ellahi purchased the house in 2005, according to public records. The owner is selling because he has another home in the Los Angeles area, Mr. Arana said.

The house has a gym and a roof deck with views of the Santa Monica Pier and Malibu, Mr. Arana said. Outside, the property has a heated outdoor pool and a lawn abutting the beach.
