East LA Meets Napa

Familiar Santa Monica Latin restaurants La Sandia, El Cholo, and Loteria Grill will be attending East LA Meets Napa & Beyond on Friday, July 18, 6-9 p.m. at Union Station. The food and wine pairing tasting event celebrates the richness of Mexican food and success of Latino-owned restaurants and vineyards in California and beyond.

The outdoor event on a warm summer night will let the approximately 1,500 guests pair their favorite foods with distinctive wines to discover their own perfect blend.

The event will feature food stations sponsored by approximately 30 Los Angeles area Latino restaurants along with about 30 wine stations.

Other participating restaurants include: Birrieria Chalio, La Casita Mexicana, Cacao Mexicatessen, La Huasteca Restaurant, Camilo's California Bistro, La Parrilla Restaurant, La Serenata de Garibaldi, Casa de Moles "La Tia", Los Muertos Taco Bar, Casa Oaxaca, Loteria Grill, Chichen Itza Restaurant, Luna Restaurant & Grill, Ciudad, Cobras y Matadores, Mama's International Tamales, Cook's Tortas, Más Malo, Pal Cabron, Dorados Ceviche Bar, Porto's Bakery & Cafe, El Patio Bar & Grill, Rivera, El Portal, Rocio's Mole de los Dioses, El Siete Mares Setá, El Tepeyac Café, Señor Fish, Tamayo, Frida, Teresitas, Guelaguetza, The Goodie Girls, Guisados, Tila's Kitchen, Hacienda de San Isidro Grill, YXTA Cocina Mexicana, Homegirl Café, and Zapien's Salsa Grill.

Wineries include Madrigal Vineyards, Black Coyote Chateau, Carneros Della Notte, Riboli Family Winery, HYPERLINK "http://www.riverbendwineryky.com/"Riverbend., San Antonio Winery, and many more.

The event includes a VIP pre-event reception, a brief program, live entertainment, dancing; top sponsors also enjoy the comfort of their very own private VIP reception areas.

All event proceeds benefit AltaMed Health Services, which has provided access to health care, senior services, teen mentoring, HIV care and more to underserved families in Los Angeles and Orange Counties for more than 40 years. The event is also AltaMed ts biggest annual fundraiser
