Earth Week Ballona Creek Cleanup

On Saturday, April 25 join Ballona Creek Renaissance (BCR) and the Office of LA City Councilman Mike Bonin-CD11 at a Earth Week Ballona Creek Cleanup from 9 am to noon.

Meet at Centinela Ave at Milton St., Los Angeles in Del Rey between Culver Blvd. and the I-90/Marina Freeway. In case of rain, the date changes to Saturday, May 9.

BCR welcomes the partnership and hands-on participation of LA City Councilman Mike Bonin's office and Culver City High School's BCR Club. BCR conducts Zero Waste cleanups and appreciates everyone's help in making this successful.

It's a great way for students to earn community service credits. As with all creek and coastal cleanups, participants under 18 need waiver forms signed by their parent or guardian, available either on-site or online at http://www.ballonacreek.org. Adult volunteers also need to sign waivers.

Wear closed-toed shoes (preferably water-resistant) and sunscreen. Bring your own water in a reusable container. Water also will be available at the event, along with bags, grabbers, gloves, buckets, and educational displays. Arrive by bike or car. Park on Milton Street, Centinela Avenue, or Culver Drive.

BCR's Centinela Avenue creek cleanups are made possible by the ongoing support and permission of LA County Public Works/Flood Control District and LA City Council District 11/Councilman Mike Bonin and the active co-sponsorship of the Del Rey Neighborhood Council and LA City Office of Community Beautification.
