Santa Monica resident Lauren Mills created the popular http://www.SoCoolKids.Com brand out of her home after being Influenced by a close-up photograph she snapped of her young son while sharing a late summer afternoon lunch at the beach.

Dampened by the ocean, his wet hair brushed from his face, the fresh image resembled an advertisement for skin and hair care! For months, she began noticing children's ads and marketing; and she wondered why they all seemed either animated or graphic -- and, not reflective of children's inherent beauty. Inspired by CoverGirl, and the clean, natural images that drove their iconic marketing campaign, she first developed a Skin and Hair Care Product-line geared to the unique needs and tastes of children. SoCoolKids aspires to embrace children in all walks of life. So it was no surprise when the company chose eight year old Emily Dobson as the company's new face.

Said Mills, "Emily is a hugely successful ballroom dancer and artist. She is such a sweet girl, hard working at such a young age and personifies everything I visualized for the brand, her innocence and polite attitude are what I loved as soon as I met her. She is also a talented artist and has a natural eye for fashion and what suits her, we are beyond pleased to have her on board. She is thoughtful and smart way beyond her years."

Emily started ballet when she was 3 years old and was inspired by watching Karina Smirnoff on Dancing With The Stars. Emily decided to try ballroom dancing at the tender of age of five years old.

Things got more serious when she paired up with her dance partner Robbie Milstead, and together they participated in many local completions. Recently Emily danced her way to the top three 2016 Utah Nationals and also got a place among top three couples in the USA.

Emily's proud parents are also on board with her first job as brand ambassador for http://www.SoCoolKids.Com . Her father Douglas Dobson is one of the top photographers in Los Angeles, so it made sense she would be creative. "Art is always big part of Emily's life as well as dancing and fashion, we are so proud of her. She started painting when she was four and remains dedicated to both dance and art. With the fabulous guidance of her art teachers at Pauline's Art Studio she was able to participate in her first art exhibition." Said her proud father.

Added founder and designer Mills, "SoCoolKids is all made here in the USA, the products maintain the highest standard of performance and are inspired by the casual romance of the Sun Valley Mountains, skies and the vast California shores. Like its content, SoCoolKids' packaging encapsulates these experiences of the great outdoors. The Product Line consists of: daily shampoo and everyday conditioner; watermelon, mango, orange and banana glycerin soaps -- the surf-sand soap relays the smell and feel of the beach -- with an exfoliating quality. SoCoolKids's all-American, all-cotton t-shirts and sweatshirts provide a comfortable wear and ease of movement providing a relaxed and classic aesthetic. I am extremely proud of the authenticity and vision of the brand."
