Watermain break shuts down Pico at Westside Pavilion.

Geyser is taller than three-story shopping center.

A water main break on Pico Blvd in West Los Angeles at the west entrance to the Westside Pavilion, has shut down pico Boulevard in both directions at 11:30 AM Tuesday morning. This is located between Overland Avenue and Westwood Boulevard.

A fire hydrant blew and caused this Geyser on pico near Overland in West LA. Pico was closed for 300 feet in either direction.

Aging infrastructure has been discussed repeatedly in this year's election campaign both locally and at the national level. In July 2014, a water main break on Sunset Boulevard flooded UCLA causing the campus to close.

The Westside Pavilion is a shopping mall located in West Los Angeles. It is owned and operated by The Macerich Company. It is a three-story urban-style shopping mall with 150 shops and is anchored by a Macy's (formerly May Company and later Robinsons-May) and a Nordstrom. A 12-screen movie theater owned by the Landmark Theatres company opened at the mall in 2007, which serves as the flagship location for the company.
