Pregnant Woman Stabbed, Murdered at Pacific and Windward in Venice

3 months pregnant, Jasmine Preciado leaves a 3 year old daughter.

23 year old Jasmine Preciado was on a date with her boyfriend Monday night in Venice, near Pacific and Windward. This is a very busy intersection, full of pedestrians, and lined with the historic buildings built by Abbott Kinney 100 years ago. It's also near the famous VENICE sign.

Preciado got into an argument with a man, who stabbed her and left in a vehicle with two women. The Los Angeles Police Department's Pacific Station responded. The young mother was taken to UCLA Hospital, where she died.

Family members identified the woman as Jasmine Preciado, who they said was three months pregnant and a mother to a three-year-old daughter.

"Did you know that by hurting Jasmine, you hurt her daughter? You hurt her family, and you hurt her friends," said Preciado's cousin, Christina.

Homicide detectives said an argument may have preceded the attack and are looking for a man and two women who left in a dark-colored SUV.

The LAPD are searching for at least three people.Anyone who saw the incident was urged to call LAPD's Pacific Division at (310) 482-6334.
