Who's that Brunette Sitting Behind Judge Kavanaugh During the Senate Confirmation Hearings?

The woman sitting behind Judge Brett Kavanaugh is a Twitter star. It is the question all of America is asking. Who is brunette bombshell sitting behind judge Kavanaugh?

Zina Bash, 36 has been accused of smirking when Democrats speak and looking "smug." But this is only because she owns the Libs, given her stellar resume.

Bash was sitting directly behind Kavanaugh during the first day of his Supreme Court confirmation hearing on September 4. The hearing has been subjected to protests from sitting Democrats on the committee as well as vocal protesters who have tried to shut down proceedings.

Zina is the daughter of Lawrence Gelman, a doctor and hospital executive, and granddaughter of two Holocaust survivors. She was born in Monterrey, Mexico, and raised in McAllen, Texas.

Bash received a Bachelor's degree at Harvard College and a J.D. degree from Harvard Law School in 2007, where she was an editor of the Harvard Law Review.She also holds an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.

Bash clerked for Samuel Alito of the United States Supreme Court during the 2013-2014 Term, and earlier for Brett Kavanaugh of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

She served as deputy director of policy and communications for United States Senator Ted Cruz's 2016 presidential campaign and senior counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee in U.S. Senator John Cornyn's office.

She has practiced law as an appellate attorney at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and was executive vice president of operations and business development at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, Texas.

Bash served in the Trump administration as Special Assistant to the President for regulatory reform, legal and immigration policy on the Domestic Policy Council. In July 2018, she left to become senior counsel on the executive leadership team of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.

In 2007, she married John Bash, who serves as the United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas.

Since 2004, Kavanaugh has been married to Estes Kavanaugh. She served as Personal Secretary to U.S. President George W. Bush from the start of his Presidency through 2004. She had previously served as an assistant to Bush during his tenure as Governor of Texas and during his presidential campaign.

As of 2018, Kavanaugh serves as town manager of Chevy Chase Section Five, Maryland.
