Craft Beer ATM Style at Brewport Tap House in El Segundo

By Kat Thomas, Edible Skinny

Who's down for some liquid dim sums? A little while ago Edible Skinny explored craft beer ATM style at Brewport Tap House in El Segundo and all we can say is we had fun, fun, as Kelly and Kat's Daddy (Tony) got to experience beer tech style! ;-)

Housed in a former downtown post office Brewport Tap House is a social dining experience that features a revolutionary gustatory experience, leveraging technology that allows patrons to access and pour by the ounce, a concept known as "self-pour." The space itself features 60 "self pour" taps for every adult beverage from craft beer to kombucha to even wine.

Happy happy drinks are dispensed via iPour system. Guests turn in a form of ID and a credit card, and in exchange get a wristband filled with a prepaid amount of credits to use at the requisite machine. Bring the band up to the sensor point, pick your drink and number of ounces to enjoy, and wait for the pour.

Two of my favorites were the 2 Towns Ciderhouse Cherried Away from Corvallis, OR and Boothcraft Kombucha from Chula Vista, CA. Both perfectly fruity for a non-beer drinker who's dragged to brewpubs because the other members of Edible Skinny LOVE them! ;-)

The food cuisine is New American eats offering a full kitchen under chef/partner Rob Rice Try their "Tap House Tots" with parmesan, cheddar, green onion, blue cheese and tarragon dip and sriracha ketchup! Another item not to be missed is their beer infused flatbreads. That's right, there's no water in this dough, just beer from the taps.
