My Brother Dimitri C. Kemitch is missing. Have You Seen Him?

5'6" tall caucasian man, 63, with a slender build, gray hair, burn scars on his neck.

Hi Dear Editor,

This is a recent picture of my brother, Dimitri C. Kemitch. His last known address was Orion St in Van Nuys. We last spoke on October 21,2018. We had a fight and he hung up on me. I called him back but he never returned my call. He is approximately 5'6" tall with a slender build. And, you can see his hair is gray. He speaks English only, as far as I know. Likes to read books and newspapers. Interests are astronomy and electronics. And, he is on FB but I don't believe he checks his account.

My brother has burn scars on his neck and chest from 2nd and 3rd degree burns when he was about 7-8 years old. And now he is 63 years old

I have been to LA twice and went to libraries, SOVA, MENDS, the Valley Y and Hope of the Valley on Tyrone. I have made contact with Councilwoman Martinez's office on the first trip. Most recently, I wrote and heard back from Ted Winterer, Councilman from Santa Monica. I stopped at Skid Row twice, left pictures of Dimitri with the Midnight Mission, the Lamp, the Weingard center, Misery Mission and other place-names I cannot recall. No one recognized him. A great lady at a laundromat let me put up his picture on a large post where you would see it the moment you walked in. I met a great man named Brandon and he walked with me and introduced me to people he knew there (Mission area/Skid Row). We walked all around Skid Row for about 3-4 hours. But, he said, we only scratched the surface.

I sent a letter to a place in Santa Monica a while back along with my contact information. A man named Dave called me and said he thought he actually spoke to my brother a few days before but hasn't seen him since. That's why I decided to put out feelers in the Santa Monica area via newspapers. I cannot make another trip for a while due to timing of holidays and my work schedule.

That's it in the nutshell. I really want to locate him. How much longer can he exist living on the streets, I don't know. Thank you from my soul for responding to me and, offering your services for free. I hope he sees your fine work-it will surely wake him up! I hope he doesn't think I abandoned him......

If you think I should try anything else to locate him, please say so. I am willing to do all that I can. He is my only brother, one and only. All ideas and advice I desperately need and will act upon. I was thinking of: billboards, sky writing and put his picture in the ad space atop taxis/car services: honestly.

Thank you so much for your professionalism and generosity.

Sincerely,

Kathi C. Kemitch
