LA Times' Annual Food and Wine Extravaganza, 'TASTE LA' A big success

Event included Salazar, Tar and Roses, Otium, Hamasaku, Redbird, Rao's Hollywood, Milk bar, Izakaya Osen, Tumbi

To go with the delicious food, guests has access to the wine bar where Libations were poured by Lillet, Bodvar, Castle Brands, Evation, Zyr, Silk and Spice, Bartentura, Absolut juice, 7 Deadly Zins

LOS ANGELES – August 30, 2019 – The Los Angeles Times held their annual TASTE LA gourmet Food and Wine festival at the lovely Paramount studios in LA over the past weekend. This year, the LA times bought together some of the finest restaurants and alcohol brands together less than one roof for guests to enjoy while it continue to raise funds for a great cause. Over the Labor Day weekend, guests enjoyed the very best of what LA has to offer and were the perfect way to cool off the heat!

Guests got to savor samplings from some of LA's top restaurants including CASA LA, Church and state, Bibigo Kitchen, FAT DRAGON, LASA, Le Grand, Love and Salt, MANEATINGPLANT, Norree Thai, Salazar, Tar and Roses, Otium, Hamasaku, Redbird, Rao's Hollywood, Milk bar, Izakaya Osen, Tumbi Indian, Ma'am Sir, Wanderlust creamery, Mainland poke, Park's BBQ, Prawn Coastal Casual, Inko nito, LBK Pizzeria, Lady M Boutique, Pop's bagels and many more.

To go with the delicious food, guests has access to the wine bar where Libations were poured by Lillet, Bodvar, Castle Brands, Evation, Zyr, Silk and Spice, Bartentura, Absolut juice, 7 Deadly Zins, Klevin Slush, Licor 43, Mule 2.0, La scolca, Royal wine, Revel spirits, Stratus wines, Z Alexander Brown, Vanderpump, Codego tequila, Delicato winery, Arrow lodge brewing, Palm Bay international, Vranken pommery, Evaton and so many more great wine and spirit companies.


Guests in attendance were treated to something very special this year in the way of live cooking demonstration on stage. Some of these were: Cooking demonstration featuring Pawan, Nakul and Arjun Mahendro from Badmaash hosted by Genevieve Ko from the LA times.

Other Cooking demonstrations include LA Times Food Columnist Lucas Kwan Peterson and LA times Cooking Editor Genevieve Ko. And finally an Italian cooking demonstration and wine discussion featuring Paola Da Re and Giorgia Sinatra from Pasta sisters as well as Chiara Soldati from La Scolca presented by Southern glazer's Wine and spirits.

This event could not be possible without the participation and generosity of the various sponsors, which allow the LA times to celebrate culture and food, the title sponsor, was City National Bank. Some of the other main sponsors include, Makers Mark, Aperol Spritz, Sysco, Topo-Chico, Taiwan Tourism, Korean Tourism Organization, Ketel one Vodka, Kevita, Los Angeles County brewers Guild, southern Glazers Wine and spirits. No TASTE LA celebration is complete without the funds going towards a great cause. This year the charities that were in focus were Los Angeles Regional Food Brink- fighting hunger and giving hope. And Cal Poly Pomona – the Collins College of hospitality management.

It was a wonderful evening enjoyed by all devouring some of LA's best food and wine and raising money for a great cause at the same time.
