Over 155 firefighters responded to a 30 acre brushfire threatened homes in Pacific Palisades late Monday morning. Smoke was visible for miles on the Westside.

"The fire is burning right up to the back of the homes, and in people's back yards. There's no wind, so the smoke is going straight up. Location is said to be 500 Palisades Drive," said one resident of the area.

The fire is burning in very steep terrain in areas of thick vegetation that hasn't burned in 30 years. The fire is putting out a lot of heavy smoke.
