Discover Migratory Birds Virtually on the Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks

October 5 – 9, 2020

Five-day social media takeover will allow nature lovers to catch a glimpse of migratory birds from the comfort of their own home. Experience five days of virtual bird watching during Irvine Ranch Conservancy's Migratory Bird social media takeover October 5-9, 2020. Followers will get an up-close look at a variety of different species that visit the Landmarks every year during seasonal migrations. During the winter months in Orange County, the Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks experience a substantial increase in bird activity due to seasonal migrations. Birds tend to migrate to places where food is more abundant and the climate is milder.

Virtual takeover participants can look forward to posts that will include a picture of one of the 150+ migratory bird species that visit the Landmarks every year. By following the Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks' Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages, wildlife enthusiasts can admire these birds up close and learn more about what makes these birds so special.

Follow along on the Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks' Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages.
