Pres. Trump, Melania Test Positive for Coronavirus, White House Announces on Twitter

Both of them begin quarantine, as stock futures fall sharply overnight.

US President Donald J. Trump told reporters just after midnight Thursday night, that he has tested postive for Coronavirus. "Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!" tweeted @realdonaldtrump.

@Flotus tweeted : “ As too many Americans have done this year, @potus & I are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19. We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together.”

Earlier today, campaign advisor and longtime Trump staffer Hope Hicks said she had tested positive for Covid-19, after traveling with the President to the debate in Cleveland with Democratic nominee, former Vice President Joe Biden. This will no doubt greatly complicate the election process, as now both candidates and their staffs have been exposed.

Many expressed sympathy or err, other emotions, on Twitter. "Already seeing a lot of vile comments from the left wishing death on the President & his wife. You all have lost your humility & have become the very thing you pretend to be against; HATE in its purest form," tweeted Melissa Tate.

Earlier this year, British PM Boris Johnson overcame Coronavirus, after nearly dying from the disorder. Johnson overcame the disease, but has never been quite the same.
