The Viceroy L'Ermitage Beverly Hills has been the epitome of Hollywood glamour since 1975. I soon discover that its peaceful surroundings are just a prelude to the understated elegance, sense of seclusion, and sublime attention to service inside.

The hotel recently launched it's Friday night Jazz evenings. Jazz and Libations can be enjoyed at the beautiful Library Lounge at Viceroy L'Ermitage Beverly Hills every Friday through Labor Day. Every week has a fabulous duo performing and the quality of the music is quite high. The rotations include three wonderful duos: Luca Pino Duo, Mitchell Long Duo  and the Jamey Arent Duo. The Jamey Arent Duo were playing the Friday I happen to visit and they were spectacular indeed. Satisfied with the music, I cannot wait to try the food at the L'Ermitage hotel.

Avec Nous is a contemporary take on the classic French bistro; a hip St Tropex vibe that delivers a Fresh culinary experience to Beverly Hills. With inspiration emanating from the mediterranean coast, Italian and Spanish touches compliment this Riviera feel.

Located within Viceroy L'Ermitage Beverly Hills, Avec Nous occupies a lovely Los Angeles location. Historically, the hotel and its lounge, once known as the Writers' Bar, served as an exclusive hangout where deals were signed and Hollywood elites came to dream up their next big hits. It's all perfectly natural - Viceroy L'Ermitage Beverly Hills has been a magnet for entertainment industry since 1975.

I look forward to my dinner reservation at Avec Nous which I have heard a lot about but never had the pleasure of trying. I am escorted to the beautiful dining room by the lovely hostess and seated at a cozy booth.

The cocktail list is impressive and I asked my server what the most popular drink is. I'm told it is the Rose Royale. I order that and proceed to the garden patio where I look forward to dining.

The menu has an impressive list of appetizers such as Regiis Ova Osetra Caviar served with Creme Fraiche, Margherita flatbread, Cheese board and Spicy Congac wings.

The first dish ordered was the Escargot, in a Parsley and garlic butter sauce served with toasted bread. Was firm enough perfectly accompanied by the delicious sauce.

Next was the provincial lyonnaise salad- House made French bacon, Poached eggs and croutons. Refreshing, moist and tasty, this salad was just the right palate cleanser before our main entree.

For my main dish, I had my list of great choices. Bouillabaise, Chicken coq au vin, Duck breast and Gili Toscana pasta. I decided to try the popular Vegan Tagine- served with Braised market vegetables, moroccan spices, olives, couscous and extra virgin olive oil. I decided to include a piece of Ora King Salmon to go with my Tagine. It was flaky and moist and went really well with the couscous.

To finish off a great meal, I just had to try the desert. Choices were aplenty such as Vanilla Eclairs, Tart fine and Sorbet. My pick was the Chocolate Ganache Tart. The tart served with Grand Marnier infused berries. Absolutely delicious. Desert was accompanied by a glade of champagne.

Avec Nous takes this serene setting and relocates it to Los Angeles, bringing a St. Tropez vibe and an exquisite French menu to Beverly Hills. Be ready to be inspired!
