Michelle Jean Schwandt alleges multiple Security guards forcibly dragged her from her seat, and she was citizen arrested for battery on a security guard on June 17, 2022

Five new lawsuits have been filed against the Los Angeles Dodgers alleging that the club provided security security intentionally assaulted fans who attended Dodger games in 2022. They allege that the fix is in between the Dodgers organization and the Los Angeles City Attorney. The prosecutor looks the other way to known problems among security at Dodger Stadium.

"The LA City Attorney has turned a blind-eye to the continued illegal and perverse intimidating pattern of misconduct and disrespect for fans by Dodgers Security," says Peter diDonato, the attorney representing the five claimants.

"Five (5) more lawsuits have been filed against the Los Angeles Dodgers for acts of violence (assault, battery, false imprisonment, false arrest, violation of civil rights, and emotional distress) perpetrated by its Security personnel in 2021 and 2022. Security guards cannot be permitted to act with impunity, and the Los Angeles Dodgers organization must be held accountable for misconduct of their employees. Each Plaintiff seeks compensatory, emotional distress and punitive damages" writes diDonato.

A rundown of the five claimants, written by diDonato Law Firm:

On June 15, 2022, Jessica Vielmas and her 2 children and cousin attended the baseball game of the Dodgers v Guardians on a Friday night so they could attend the aftergame fireworks show, write diDonato. Jessica, her children and cousin walked to where they were directed by Security to the field level.

"Without warning or reason, a Security guard ran to Jessica and began striking her chest and shoulder with a flashlight. Jessica tried to back away, but the striking continued in the presence of her children and cousin. A uniformed LAPD appeared, and told Jessica to leave the Stadium or she would be arrested, and verbally intimidated her by yelling that she was a bad mother. The two Security guards yanked Jessica by her arms and carried her outside the gates. Jessica was never told the reason for the attack or for her ejection from the Stadium. A fun-filled night turned into a nightmare.

This senseless attack left Jessica with many bruises and further damage to her shoulder for which she was already receiving treatment. The Dodgers have not produced surveillance videos of this attack," diDonato writes.

On May 29, 2021, Gregory Page Dixon and a friend attended the baseball game of the Dodgers v Giants. Gregory was returning from the men's restroom when a Security guard approached and falsely accused him of public urination near a bus. Gregory told the guard that was not him, and walked off. Moments later he was tackled from behind, thrown to the ground and hand-cuffed. Gregory was citizen arrested for battery on a security guard, booked at LAPD. When he appeared in court, no charges were filed.

Gregory sustained bruises and marks to his head, arms and wrists, and was forced to retain an attorney to protect and defend his legal interests. The Dodgers have not produced surveillance videos of this attack.

On June 17, 2022, Michelle Jean Schwandt and friends attended the baseball game of the Dodgers v Angels. While in her seat watching the game, she was approached by a Security guard who told her "come with us, that guy wants to talk with you." Security personnel never told her the reason for the request, and she responded "he can come here and talk with me." Again, Security guards refused to tell her the reason, and she remained in her seat. Then multiple Security guards forcibly dragged her from her seat, and she was citizen arrested for battery on a security guard. HOWEVER, the only battery that occurred was by Dodgers Security personnel. She was booked by LAPD. When she reported to Court, no charges were filed.

Michelle later learned that she was accused of vaping, when in fact, the vaping occurred by another fan sitting in front of her. Michelle suffered extensive bruising and injury to her ankle and leg, and is seeking further medical attention.

The misconduct by Dodgers Security guards was captured on film by a fan, and the video is attached to the DropBox Link below. The Dodgers have not produced surveillance videos of this attack.

On July 19, 2022, Daniel Ultreras and his girlfriend attended the All Star Game. During the 7th inning Daniel was not feeling well, and he and his girlfriend began to leave Dodger Stadium after he vomited. Security guards observed vomiting, and they did not attempt to assist him.

Instead, Security guards surrounded Daniel, and escalated the situation by taunting, pushing and poking him. A Security guard even attempted to trip him. As Daniel was walking away towards the exit, a Security guard yelled out "take him to the ground, take him into custody." Daniel was tackled, beaten, handcuffed, and falsely arrested for battery on a security guard. Daniel was booked by LAPD, and he has a court appearance in August. HOWEVER, the only battery that occurred was by Dodgers Security personnel . Daniel suffered extensive bruising and is seeking further medical attention. His girlfriend filmed the attack.

On July 19, 2022, Oscar Emilio Letona and a friend attended the All Star Game. They went through the corridor filled with awards, and were asked to leave. Oscar voiced his concerns that he was being racially profiled because other non-Hispanic fans were not asked to leave.

As Oscar and his friend were leaving the corridor to take a down escalator, a Dodgers Security person yelled for him to be arrested, although he did nothing wrong. Oscar was followed by a Security guard. At the bottom landing of the escalator, Oscar was jumped from behind, thrown to the ground, and handcuffed by three additional Security guards. Oscar was citizen arrested, booked for battery on a security guard and has a court appearance in August. HOWEVER, the only battery that occurred was by Dodgers Security personnel. Oscar suffered a concussion, extensive bruising and injury to his wrists and arms, and is seeking further medical attention.
