Pops Bagels Opens on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica

"It's not just a regular bagel bakery," they explained. "We open the bagels, toast them, customize them and make dozens of different sandwiches."

SANTA MONICA - Pops Bagels has officially opened its new location on Montana Avenue, becoming the third bagel shop on the popular Westside shopping corridor and further solidifying the street's reputation as a bagel hotspot.

The shop at 912 Montana Avenue joins H&H Bagels and Sam's Bagels on the same stretch, creating a convenient cluster for bagel enthusiasts. Like Sam's Bagels, which previously relocated within Santa Monica, Pops has moved from its original Brentwood location on San Vicente Boulevard to the former B&T's Deli space.

Staff members Amaria and Mercedes highlighted what sets Pops apart from a traditional bagel bakery. "It's not just a regular bagel bakery," they explained. "We open the bagels, toast them, customize them and make dozens of different sandwiches."

The menu features fresh, hand-rolled bagels with a wide selection of spreads, toppings, and made-to-order sandwiches. Customers can build everything from classic breakfast options to creative lunch combinations, with an emphasis on customization and generous portions. Early reviews praise the toasted bagels and the variety of sandwich offerings.

The opening continues the momentum of locally owned businesses along Montana Avenue. Pops Bagels is now open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., welcoming both longtime Santa Monica residents and visitors looking for fresh options on the vibrant street.
