On Friday evening August 18, 2023 the Harold & Carole Pump Foundation Gala 2023 showcased an amazing superstar filled Red Carpet and celebrity dinner at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, 9876 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA.

The Red Carpet was brimming with acclaimed celebrities, and prominent men and woman in the sports and entertainment industry, including Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Prince Jackson, Allyson Felix, Bill Walton, Byron Scott, Lamar Odom, Holly Robinson Peete, Jim McMahon, Dexter Fowler, Ray Lewis, Derek Fisher, Ozzie Smith, Darvin Ham, Cederic The Entertainer, Derek Fisher, Tim Brown, James Loney, Cynthia Bailey, Zach Randolph, Eddie Murray and many others.

This was the 23rd Harold & Carole Pump Foundation Gala which honored Drew Brees (NFL Quarter back winning player for over 20 years), Michael Phelps (Olympic Gold medal swimming champion) John McEnroe (three time tennis Wimbledon title winner) Allyson Felix (American sprinter, who is the most decorated female Olympian in track and field) and Dan Fleyshman (youngest founder of a publicly traded company in history, for their commitment and generous financial donations to the foundation.

It was delightful evening conversing with the charming Prince Jackson, the son of Michael Jackson, who informed that his sister Paris Jackson, could not make this year's gala because she was on tour.

I was fortunate to have a moment to chat with the charismatic Sugar Ray Leonard, who generously donates to a myriad of charity foundations including his own "Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation" established in 2009 with his wife Bernadette. The Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation has pledged and is committed to funding medical research and treatment for pediatric type 1 & 2 diabetes.

I only had a warm handshake and hello from Mike Tyson, who was swarmed with countless friends and admirers, all waiting to take a selfie with this Super Star.

There was a cocktail reception before the dinner with amazing art, jewelry sports memorabilia, collectables, and more.

Guests at the sit down dinner had the opportunity to bid on luxurious live auction items, smooze with star athletes, laugh along with Cedric the Entertainer on stage and admire the honorees on stage as well as be in awe of Dana and David Pump, and their mother Carole who founded the Pump Foundation in 1999 to pay tribute to their late father who had lost his fight to cancer in the same year

The Harold & Carole Pump Foundation Mission Statement is the single minded dedication and loyalty to combat cancer through early detection, state of the art equipment, treatment and research.
