Bel Air Church to Supply Thanksgiving Meals for 13,000

Bel Air Church: 16221 Mulholland Drive, Los Angeles CA 90049 MONDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 7–11 A.M.

Bel Air Church (a.k.a. Bel Air Presbyterian Church) is providing 1,300 Thanksgiving meal boxes that each feed 10 people.

For almost 30 years, the congregation has come together to pack food baskets for struggling families and individuals throughout the Los Angeles area. These are distributed to Bel Air's local missionary partners, including the Los Angeles Mission, Hope Gardens Family Center, Children's Hunger Fund, and local churches, organizations, and families throughout greater Los Angeles.

"The Thanksgiving Turkey Basket Day has become an enduring tradition at Bel Air Church and represents what a privilege it is to be able to serve our city in this way for so many years. Our members look forward to this day as a tangible way for us to share God's love," said Senior Pastor, Reverend Dr. Drew Sams.

Hundreds of volunteers will gather on Monday morning at 7am in the large church parking lot overlooking the San Fernando Valley and prepare 1,300 boxes for local families.

he food was purchased with funds given by church congregants. The public is welcome to participate in this effort by coming to the church parking lot that morning at 7am, or contributing financially through the church website to designate a gift specifically for the Turkey basket Day by going to http://www.belairpres.org/thanksgiving.

Led by Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Drew Sams (a.k.a. Pastor Drew) Bel Air Church was founded in 1956, and is one of city's largest churches. Four services are held on Sundays at 9:00 am with traditional worship, and contemporary worship at 9:01 am, 11:00 am, & 6:00 pm. Bel Air Church is one of the only churches in the city to (in addition to contemporary services) conduct a traditional worship service on Sundays including the state of the art organ and choir, offering a spectacular worship experience.
