Kavanaugh Will Be Confirmed as a US supreme court justice this Friday

Mitch McConnell wouldn't proceed if he didn't have the votes

Res Ipsa Loquitor: The thing defines itself.

Lisa Mirkowski, Jeff Flake and Susan Collins are on board with confirming judge Brett Kavanaugh to the US Supreme Court Friday. The mere fact that Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell has invoked cloture and moved the nomination to a vote is proof of that. This despite Democratic pleading for yet more investigations, more hearings and more delay.

The White House — after reviewing interview reports from the FBI’s probe into Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh — found no corroboration of the allegations of sexual misconduct leveled against the federal judge, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources.

That being the case, the vote to confirm Kavanaugh will happen Friday, October 5th 2018.

Mitch McConnell wouldn't proceed if he didn't have the votes, and that's the bottom line. You don't have to be a genius to read the writing on the wall, folks

As Barack Obama said in November 2016, elections have consequences. The consequence of the last Presidential election is that a rather crass Real Estate developer gets to pick a couple of Supreme Court justices for the next 30 years. Talk of impeachment is frankly, laughable. Squeezing a girl in 11th Grade will hardly remove a Justice from the Supreme Court 36 years later.

It's time to make friends with the Justice Kavanaugh High Court, folks. Remember people do shift their positions, their political positions, overtime on the Supreme Court. You may be surprised by Kavanaugh. After all, he likes UB40 and knows what it's like to have an alcohol problem. Really, aren't those good signs?
