FedEx Duplicates Itself at 11th and Wilshire, Closes at 6th and Wilshire

The building will be torn down for six floors of mixed use retail and apartments above the ground floor

For 24 years, it has been open 24 hours allowing students to coffee Project late at night and businessman to send overnight packages at all hours. But on Tuesday, September 17 at 5 PM, the Federal Express (FedEx) store on Wilshire Blvd and 6th Street closed for good.

Not to worry, as they will reopen at 11th and Wilshire soon. That location will also be open 24 hours a day.

The building will be torn down for six floors of mixed use retail and apartments above the ground floor. The two bedroom apartments will rent for $5000 per month.

The FedEx on the North side of Wilshire between 9th and 10th Streets, will also close permanently about a year from now, when the lease runs out.
