Socially Distanced: Santa Monica Pier Reopens Every Day to Limited Hours, Limited Foot Traffic

The Santa Monica Pier reopened on Wednesday. The 111 year old iconic wooden structure had been closed due to Covid-19 since the lockdown began on March 19, 2020.

Your health and safety are our top priority, which is why you'll see a lot of changes around here. From limited hours and capacity to expanded outdoor seating, we've been working hard to make sure the Pier experience meets today and tomorrow's changing needs. And remember: between the sun, sand and sea – some things never change," it says.

The Santa Monica Pier is a large double-jointed pier at the foot of Colorado Avenue in Santa Monica. It contains a small amusement park, concession stands, and areas for views and fishing.
