Go Little Tokyo Welcomes Outdoor Summer Dining Experiences in the Heart of Downtown Los Angeles

Enjoy expanded patios and outdoor dining areas in one of Los Angeles' oldest and most iconic neighborhoods

Little Tokyo's diverse and authentic selection of family-owned eateries, historic legacy restaurants, and modern culinary offerings have transformed into safe, enjoyable al fresco dining experiences with extended patio areas for all to enjoy dining out, takeout, or curbside pick-up options.

Restaurants in Little Tokyo have expanded their outdoor offerings for the community to enjoy a sit-down dining experience in a fresh-air outdoor setting this summer. Outdoor dining options flow along the Japanese Village Plaza in the heart of Little Tokyo off the historic First Street and the Honda Plaza has created a new community food space with picnic tables and patio umbrellas for people to enjoy take-out services from one of the many eateries in the neighborhood.

Honda Plaza customers can purchase take-out food to be eaten in the outdoor dining area. Restaurants within the Honda Plaza currently offering take-out services are Sushi Gen, Aloha Café, Pasta e Pasta by Allegro, Men Oh Tokushima Ramen, BBQ Chicken DTLA, Tea Master Matcha Café and Green Tea Shop, Tous Les Jours Bakery Café, and The Mermaid gastropub. Kagaya Restaurant and Kinjiro will be opening in the near future.

In the Japanese Village Plaza, enjoy traditional Japanese cuisine from neighborhood favorites including crispy takoyaki from TaNoTa Takoyaki and Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki from Chinchikurin on the patio dining area. Other restaurants offering outdoor dining include Kagura, Café Dulce, and T.O.T. Guests can also enjoy a rooftop open-air dining and special menu offerings at Izakaya Fu-ga's new beer garden.

Discover the culture and many culinary delights of Little Tokyo by dining out or through virtual experiences in the comfort of your own home. Recently, Go Little Tokyo completed its 5th Annual Delicious Little Tokyo series of virtual events which featured a newly produced IGTV video series highlighting the rich culture and food history of the 136-year-old neighborhood.
