Job Fair at Santa Monica Place Will Be Heavy On Hotels, Resorts, Restaurants and Rentals. After All, This is a Tourist Town

Local businesses come together in search of talent to add to their teams

Santa Monica Travel and Tourism and Santa Monica Place will host a job fair on Tuesday, July 12 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The fair will be held on the third floor Dining Deck.

Businesses in attendance include a sample of local businesses. The list includes hotels, resorts, stores and restaurants. Names of participating businesses: 1212 Santa Monica, All Saints Banter by Piercing Pagoda, Bristol Farms, CycleBar Santa Monica, ETC Hotels (Shutters on the Beach and Hotel Casa Del Mar and Bayside Hotel), Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows, JW Marriott Santa Monica, Le Merigot hotel, Pacific Park, Perry's Café and Beach Rentals, The Pump Station & Nurtury, Purple, Rustic Canyon Family of Restaurants (Birdie G's, Cassia, Esters Wine Shop and Bar, Huckleberry Bakery & Café and Milo & Olive), Seaside on the Pier, Shore Hotel, Tenshoppe and The Viceroy Santa Monica

"Recognizing the employment gaps and the ample opportunities in the area, SMTT was compelled to bring the two together to provide guidance and connections for job seekers and prospective employees to local businesses," said SMTT in a press release. "It is strongly suggested to bring multiple copies of an updated resume, as those who apply on-site will be entered to win prizes from Santa Monica businesses."

The list of participants includes local tourism-serving businesses such as ETC Hotels (Shutters on the Beach, Hotel Casa Del Mar and Bayside Hotel), Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows, Shore Hotel, The Viceroy Santa Monica; restaurants like Seaside on the Pier, Perry's Café and Beach Rentals as well as the Rustic Canyon Family group of restaurants, which include Birdie G's, Cassia, Esters Wine Shop & Bar, Huckleberry Bakery & Café and Milo & Olive; and several retail shops from Santa Monica Place and the surrounding area.
