SAMOHI Mathletes Raise Funds to Attend a Tournament in Torrance
MAthletes from santa monica high school, are raising money to attend a competition in Torrance. Their Samohi Faculty advisor is Emily Lee Anderson.
We caught up with the Mathletes conducting a bake sale on Montana Avenue. One of them explained they have to raise money because the group is considered an outside club, i.e. not part of the official SamoHi program.
A mathlete is a person who competes in mathematics competitions at any level or any age. More specifically, a Mathlete is a student who participates in any of the MATHCOUNTS programs, as Mathlete is a registered trademark of the MATHCOUNTS Foundation in the United States.
