Person Overdoses on MTA Train Platform in Downtown Santa Monica Terminal

The patient was ultimately transported, still breathing, to St. Johns Hospital in Santa Monica

4.5.23: A patient suffering from a narcotics overdose was reported on the Exposition line MTA train. Santa Monica Fire Department treated the patient, who was not breathing, on the platform in Downtown Santa Monica. Two doses of narcan were administered.

The SMFD and Los Angeles County Sheriff's department handled the call. It was not immediately known if the patient had been a passenger on the train. Drug use has been reported on the Expo line in the past.
