All of PCH closed between the 10 Freeway and the California incline. Eight people were transported to the hospital
PCH Collision 4.29.23. Pacific Coast Highway was closed in Santa Monica Saturday afternoon, after a collision north of the McClure Tunnel that demolished at least 2 vehicles. All of PCH was closed between the 10 Freeway and the California incline from 3 pm PST. The collision wasn't completely cleared until 8 pm.
Santa Monica Police Department and Fire Department responded. At least 8 people were transported to the hospital with injuries.
The collision occurred when a Kia attempted to turn left into a beach parking lot. A Hyundai heading South to the McClure tunnel struck the Kia, injuring the Kia's driver and front seat passenger. The backseat passenger was dead on arrival at hospital.
