SMPD Arrests Meth Heads With Stolen Copper Wire and Drug Paraphenelia

Three suspects were arrested for grand theft, conspiracy, and possession of drug paraphernalia, and of course immediately released because this is California

The following is a press release from the Santa Monica Police Department:

In the early morning hours of Monday, October 23, 2023, SMPD officers on patrol stopped a vehicle for a stop sign violation at the intersection of 12th Street and Montana Ave.

Officers could see a methamphetamine pipe in the vehicle on the driver side floorboard and a large amount of copper wire in the backseat. Officers recovered over 500 feet of copper wire along with additional drug paraphernalia.

Three suspects were arrested for grand theft, conspiracy, and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were cited and released. The investigation remains ongoing.
