Christmas Eve Stabbing on Santa Monica Blvd and 14th Street Involves Two Tenants Who Knew Each Other.

It is believed that the victims knew the suspect as it occurred in a unit at an apartment complex, where both were apparently living.

On Sunday, December 24, around 11:40 pm, Santa Monica Police and Fire responded to reports of an assault on the 1300 block of 14th Street. When the first officer arrived, they reported that a person was stabbed and relayed that information to the fire department.

It is believed that the victims knew the suspect as it occurred in a unit at an apartment complex. There is no known motive for the stabbing at this time, and the suspect is believed to have been under the influence of a substance when being taken into custody.

The suspected weapon used was a sharp, broken piece of glass from a glass cup, according to witnesses and police. We have contacted the Santa Monica Police department for comment and are waiting to hear back from them. This is breaking news, more details to follow.
