BREAKING: Police Hunt for Armed Robbery Suspect in Venice Beach Canals; Residents Urged to Stay Indoors

Venice Beach, 11.2.24, 8 pm PST – Police are actively searching for a suspect involved in an armed robbery in the Venice Beach Canals area. Authorities have urged residents to remain indoors as they work to locate the individual, described as a Black male in his 20s to 30s, with black dreadlocks featuring blonde tips.

The suspect was last seen in a restricted area of the canal near 28th Street, close to Ocean Avenue, Dell Avenue, and Venice Way. Police have set up multiple units to block off access points in the area to prevent the suspect from escaping, while a police helicopter scans from above to assist ground units.

K-9 units have also been deployed to aid in the search, as law enforcement continues efforts to secure the neighborhood. Residents in the vicinity are advised to stay inside and avoid the area until further notice.
