On Monday evening, December 16, 2024, AM AERICAN BALLET THEATRE, with Susan Jaffe, Artistic Director, held a Holiday Benefit Honoring Andrew F. Barth for his more than eight years of exemplary leadership as Chamber of the ABT Board of Trustees, with a special dedication to the late Clara Yust, former, ABT Trustee and dedicated philanthropist, at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, 9876 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90210.
The "Red Carpet " was filled with glamorous celebrities including: actress Jane Seymour and John Zambetti, Producer Joshua Uduma, Honoree Andrew F. Barth and Avery Barth, Television personality Keni Silva ,actress Lesley Ann Warren, actress Carly Hughs, actresses Challen Cates and Jasper Mcpherson, Dame Sandra Costa, Executive Director Barry Hughson and American Ballet Theatre Artistic Director Susan Jaffe, Ballet dancer Catherine Hurlin, Television personality Keltie Knight and Chris Knight, Ballet dancer Isaac Hernandez, actress Stacie Greenwell and many others.
I was fortunate to be able to chat with the talented actress Jane Seymour and John Zambetti, (after just seeing them at another Christmas charity fundraiser the week before) Jane Seymour is a professionally trained dancer, as well as a former contestant on Dancing with the Stars, is extremely supportive of The AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE and her love of the artistry, virtuosity , and proficiency of ballet.
Honoree Andrew F. Barth and Susan Jaffe, Artistic Director, ABT spoke on stage about the privilege to be involved with the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE for so many consecutive years.
There was a dedication to the late Clara Yust, former ABT Trustee and dedicated philanthropist, with sentimental film clips of highlights of her life and commitment to the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE.
This classy event was sponsored by Lloyd E. Rigler- Lawrence E. Deutsch Foundation. This elegant affair commenced with "Pas de deux from Raymonda". Choreography after Marius Petipa, with music by Alexander Glazunov, and performed by Hee Seo and Cory Stearns. This was so delightful
Following was an exquisite excerpt from 'The Nutcracker". Choreography by Alexei Ratmansky with music by Peter Tchaikovsky, and performed by Lauren Bonfiglio, Breanne Grandlund, and Hannah Marshall. This was an outstanding performance
There were a total of eight spectacular performances by unforgettable and talented dancers.
This holiday program included a cocktail hour, two course sit-down dinner and a sumptuous dessert buffet.
After the performances, the dancers came out to schmoose with the audience.
This was a wonderful Holiday Benefit. Proceeds from this fundraiser support AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE and its education and engagement programs
