If you have not seen HUGH PEEPLE perform at the West Hollywood Hotel Ziggy yet, it is time you did!
Celebrating the release of their debut album "What Do You Mean- HUGH PEEPLE" the band performed to a packed house at the Hotel Ziggy on the Sunset strip!
HUGH PEEPLE have a stellar lineup with a first class pedigree. Founded by Nathan Cowles who is also the songwriter and co-Producer, alongside multi-talented Danny Saber (Producer and guitarist for HUGH PEEPLE). Saber is known for diversity in his production and remixing. The artists with whom he has worked have included pop Madonna, Seal, David Bowie, U2, Michael Hutchence, The Rolling Stones, Ozzy Osbourne, Korn, Marilyn Manson, Public Enemy, Jadakiss and too many to mention.
The band's lead singer is the fabulously charismatic Niecey Robinson, with her vast vocal range, sparkling pantsuit and glam appearance she will take you on a historic journey to a time that the greats such as Gladys Night and Donna summer inhabit, she is a formidable force and talent.
Joining HUGH PEEPLE on guitar is the legendary Levi Seacer Jr. He was an early associate of Sheila E when he was tapped by Prince to form a new touring band after the demise of The Revolution in 1986. Seacer became the band's bassist, as well as a backing vocalist. Later, he began collaborating with Prince as a songwriter on several projects. Seacer was a founding member of Prince's The New Power Generation in 1991, switching from bass to the band's guitarist.[1] He remained a member of the band until 1993, and also participated in the later version of Madhouse. After leaving the Prince camp in 1993, Seacer has worked as a producer and session musician on various projects, most notably the gospel music ensemble Sounds of Blackness. A world class talent and a terrific addition to the HUGH PEEPLE funky vibe that Cowles clearly is a huge fan of.
The horn section is a treat unto itself, bringing back memories of Earth, Wind & Fire's brilliant horn section, Elijah Balbed on Sax with Joe Herrera on trumpet, a reminder that gifted, musicians are playing amongst us. Michael Seacer on drums displays his drumming skills along with his flare for fashion of times gone by, he also has the Prince flair and vibe, which maybe because he is the son of Levi Seacer Jr! Yes it is a Family Affair and you will be happy if you are Sly And The Family Stone fans. Finally on guitar is Morgan Day, who has built up a strong reputation and loyal following playing guitar solos from Purple Rain to acoustic Spanish guitar.
HUGH PEEPLE are also always supported by their regular dancers who are spot on with their routines and costume changes to accompany every song, brilliantly choreographed by Noe 'JBad' Rios.
The original songs, the talent, the musicians and the dancers, are not to be missed.
HUGH PEEPLE will be performing at Hotel Ziggy on Monday September 29th and Sunday October 26th.
