The 13th Annual Make-Up Artsts & Hair Stylists Guild Awards) ( LIATSE Local 706) Hosted by Rachael Harris,and Presented by L'Oreal Group and Giovanni Eco Chic Beauty ,took place on Saturday evening, February 14, 2026, at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel, 404 S. FigueroaStreet , Los Angeles, honoring the exceptional artists whose work defined the visual storytelling of 2025 across film, television, streaming, commercials, and theatrical productions.
There was an amazing Red Carpet, that featured many key-honorees, including the Host: Frankie Grande,Distinguished Artisan Awardee: Amy Madigan , Rachel Harris (Host) Kathy Bates ( Presenter) John Brotherton, , Julia Duffy, Lauren Holt, Nadine Bhabha, Madeline McGraw, Kerri Kenny and many other nominees, guild members, and industry leaders gathered in formal attire beneath the Bonaventure's dramatic atrium lighting.
Conversations buzzed with anticipation while artists discussed the months - and sometimes years - of research and collaboration behind their nominated work. The atmosphere reflected both Hollywood glamour and deep professional respect for the craft
Hosted with wit and warmth, the ceremony celebrated not only high-profile productions but the meticulous artistry behind character creation - from subtle contemporary realism to elaborate period reconstructions and groundbreaking prosthetic transformations.
Warner Brothers emerged as a major force in this year's film competition.
"Sinners" captured awards for both Best Period and/or Character Make-Up and Best Period and/or Character Hair Styling, recognized for its immersive historical detailing and authentic era recreation.
" One Battle After Another" won Best Contemporary Make-Up and Best Contemporary Hair Styling, showingthe precision required to achieve natural, camera-ready looks in today's high-definition production environment
"Netflix's Frankenstein "earned Best Special Make-Up Prosthetics, highlighting intricate sculpting and seamless application techniques that balanced horror aesthetics with emotional nuance
Streaming platforms dominated the television categories.
"Apple TV's " Palm Royale" won Best Period and/or Character Make-Up and Hair Styling, praised for its glamorous retro design and meticulous wig work.
"The Studio" secured Best Contemporary Make-Up and Hair Styling, highlighting the subtle discipline required for modern on-screen authenticity
"Netflix's "Stranger Things" (Season5) received Best Special Make-Up Prosthetics for its complex creature transformations
,The 50th Anniversary Special of "Saturday Night Live" was honored for Best Period and/or Character Hair Styling, recognizing the recreation of iconic looks spanning five decades of television history
The ceremony also spotlighted many distinguished career achievements
"The Distinguished Artisan Award", was presented to to Oscar-nominated actress Amy Madigen
"The Lifetime Achievement Awards" honored Emmy-winning makeup artist Greg Nelson and Oscar-nominated hairstylist Judy Alexander Cory for decades of influential contributions to film and television.
The Vanguard Award was presented to Emmy-nominated makeup artist Michael Johnston for forward-thinking innovation in television artistry
Additional winners included Disney+'s "Skeleton Crew" for Children & Teen Television Hair and Make-Up, and Lady Gaga's music video "Abracadabra" for Music Video Make-Up
Throughout the evening, one message resonated clearly: makeup and hair design are essential narrative tools. Whether recreating history, enhancing realism, or building fantastical worlds, the artists recognized at the MUAHS Awards endorsed that a great visual transformation is essential for storytelling in the streaming era
It was a wonderful evening, and I think everyone wouldagree and appreciate the behind-the-scenes talent and dedication to create unforgettable shaped faces and identities seen around the world in TV and film
