San Diego, Calif. - A 25-year-old parking lot attendant was stabbed in the head with a broken wooden cane handle Sunday afternoon in downtown San Diego near Petco Park, authorities said.The incident occurred around 3:42 p.m. on April 13, 2026, near K Street and 13th Street, in the area of the Ace/Tailgate Padres parking lot (also known as Tailgate Park lot). The victim, an employee of the lot, was sitting on an electrical box when the suspect allegedly approached and struck him on the head multiple times with the broken cane handle.
