Connie Chan is Accused Of Being Both a Chinese Spy AND an Israeli Agent. One of Them Must Be Wrong

No machine, no drama, no foreign lobby shadows. If you're tired of the same old San Francisco failure - and want fresh, practical leadership - vote David Ganezer.

San Francisco voters: This June primary is a mess. Three main Democrats are fighting for Nancy Pelosi's seat - but all have serious red flags. They have been conducting a circular firing squad, ever since Pelosi endorsed one of them for her job. Here's why you should think twice before voting for any of them... and why a fresh, pragmatic choice makes sense.

1/ Connie Chan: Accused of ties to BOTH Israel lobby AND CCP influence

Connie Chan is the first candidate in California history hit with simultaneous accusations of being an Israeli agent (via heavy super PAC spending from AIPAC-aligned groups funneling ~$475k+) and having problematic ties to Chinese state-aligned media (designating Sing Tao Daily, a propaganda outlet, as an official city partner).

She's probably neither - but that's the problem. The mud sticks because her record raises real questions.

As Supervisor, she's irritated her own district by opposing popular renovation projects that would have delivered jobs and much-needed housing. Despite the Pelosi endorsement, she's not ready for prime time in D.C. She lacks deep experience in the intricate workings of the federal government to effectively represent San Francisco on national issues.

2/ Scott Wiener: Mean, difficult to work with - and even Pelosi has reasons to keep distance

The reason not to vote for Scott Wiener is simple: He's Scott Wiener.

SFPD Paramedics treating a homeless person on the street. Most police and fire calls in San Francisco are to service the needs of homeless people, or put out fires in their encampments.

Nancy Pelosi obviously can't stand him - and she has reasons. Critics across the spectrum call him an "unprofessional extremist" and "Woke Fringe warrior." He's known for being combative, labeling opponents "bigots" or NIMBYs, and working behind closed doors while ignoring community input.

Key criticisms from X and local debates:

Soft on crime: Opposed Prop 36, backed Prop 47/57, supported Chesa Boudin, pushed safe injection sites while blocking tougher fentanyl penalties. SF's disorder, theft, and homelessness crises worsened under these approaches.

Gender and parental issues: SB 145 made sex offender registration optional for some adult-minor cases. Backed policies allowing biological males in women's spaces and hiding transitions from parents. Accused of prioritizing ideology over safety and rights.

Anti-women stances (per critics): Eroding women's rights in prisons/sports; called out for hating women or not caring about their safety.

Elitist YIMBY overreach: Dense housing bills strain infrastructure without fixing affordability; favors developers over residents.

Carpetbagger from New Jersey with a careerist vibe. Suppresses dissent and overlooks mental health crises.

Many (even some Democrats) say "Anyone But Wiener."

3/ Saikat Chakrabarti: Opportunistic outsider with drama & hypocrisy

Saikat has national name recognition from AOC's office and Justice Democrats, but local critics tear into him:

Carpetbagger with weak SF roots: Recently moved in, limited local activism. Maryland home ties on documents raise questions about real commitment. Using national clout without earning trust.

Donations undermining progressives: Gave big to moderates/tech-aligned candidates (Michael Lai, Bilal Mahmood) to beat leftists like Dean Preston. Seen as aiding "tech oligarchs" while pretending to be a working-class fighter.

Combative & bridge-burning: Picks fights, calls allies racist, alienates everyone. Even strained AOC ties (no endorsement; billboards said "AOC FIRED SAIKAT"). Garry Tan and others call him unfit drama machine.

Tech millionaire hypocrisy: Got rich at Stripe but wants to ban data centers/AI in SF - killing jobs while pulling up the ladder. Self-funds heavily despite anti-big-money talk.

Shady progressive creds: Minimal local track record. Past campaign finance scrutiny. Too extreme/insurgent for broad appeal; risks handing the seat to moderates.

4/ The bottom line for SF voters

These candidates represent the same broken machine: ideology over results, drama over delivery, national games over local needs. Soft-on-crime policies, endless culture wars, foreign influence whispers, and careerist infighting have left San Francisco with tents, theft, and dysfunction.

If you're looking for a choice for SF's seat in congress, I suggest you take a deep breath and vote Republican. The last occupant of this seat was there for 38 years. Isn't it worth really thinking about? Your future may depend on it.

Vote for David Ganezer - the pragmatic outsider who actually wants to fix things.

I'm a longtime SF Bay Area publisher (Santa Monica Observer), former attorney, Stanford grad, and Coast Guard reservist who served right here in the Presidio. Social moderate (pro-gay marriage, pro-choice) who believes government should deliver results for working people:

Cut red tape for more housing and affordability. -- Real public safety: treatment + accountability on drugs/homelessness.

Keep tech strong without chasing businesses away. -- Ban congressional stock trading for real accountability.

No machine, no drama, no foreign lobby shadows. If you're tired of the same old San Francisco failure - and want fresh, practical leadership - vote David Ganezer. Let's make Congress work for SF again.

Please share if you agree. Primary is soon - your vote matters. #GanezerForCongress #SF11 #AnybodyButTheMachine
