Of the five men shown in the widely circulated photograph of Shani Louk's body being transported into Gaza on October 7, 2023, four had already been eliminated or apprehended before the October 2026 strike on Tamer Mohammad Ibrahim Al-Zabaq.
Shani Nicole Louk, the 22-year-old German-Israeli tattoo artist and influencer whose partially clothed body was filmed being paraded through Gaza on a pickup truck on October 7, 2023, has seen the Hamas cell responsible for abducting her remains fully accounted for by Israeli forces.
Louk, born February 7, 2001, to an Israeli father and German mother, lived in Tel Aviv and was known for her art, dreadlocks, and love of music and dance. She was attending the Nova (Supernova) music festival near Re'im with her boyfriend, French-Mexican music producer Orión Hernández Radoux (about 30), when Hamas terrorists attacked. She was killed while trying to flee; forensic evidence later confirmed her death via a skull fragment recovered at the site. Graphic video and photographs of her body in the truck became one of the most widely circulated images of the massacre.
Her body was recovered by the IDF from a tunnel in Gaza on May 17, 2024, and buried in Srigim, Israel, on May 19. Hernández Radoux, who had been with her and another friend when they were intercepted near Mefalsim, was also murdered that day. His body was recovered by the IDF and Shin Bet from the Jabalia area of northern Gaza on May 23–24, 2024, and later returned to Mexico for burial. He is survived by his parents and a young daughter.
According to an IDF graphic and joint IDF-Shin Bet statements, the five men visible in the October 7 photograph of Louk's body in the truck have all been eliminated or captured:
Mustafa Shaheen was killed in an Israeli airstrike on October 10, 2023.
Basel Cheleh was eliminated on December 6, 2023.
Attiya Daour was eliminated on August 20, 2025.
Mustafa Ala Khatib was apprehended by Israeli security forces and remains in custody.
Tamer Mohammad Ibrahim Al-Zabaq (also referred to as al-Sabaa or al-Sabbagh), a Hamas Nukhba operative, was killed in an airstrike in Jabalia on or about October 19, 2026. The IDF described him as the last member of the cell still at large and said he had continued planning attacks against Israeli civilians and troops while working to restore Hamas military capabilities in violation of the ceasefire.
Israeli military sources characterized Al-Zabaq's elimination as closing the circle on the specific cell documented in the widely seen images of Louk's abduction. Her family has described her as a joyful, creative person whose memory they continue to honor through her artwork.

Mustafa Shaheen was killed in an Israeli airstrike on October 10, 2023, just three days after the massacre; independent open-source analysis later matched his face to the armed figure visible in the photo. Basel Cheleh was eliminated on December 6, 2023, and Attiya Daour was eliminated on August 20, 2025. The fifth man, Mustafa Ala Khatib, was apprehended by Israeli security forces and remains in custody. Israeli military and intelligence statements have described these outcomes as accounting for the full cell documented in the October 7 images, with Al-Zabaq identified as the last member still at large until his elimination in Jabalia.
