    The Los Angeles Boat Show took place in Marina Del Rey and the Los Angles Convention Center February 6-9. Organizers were happy with the event as they say the boating industry in on the rebound and say they saw a 5 per cent increase in sales in 2013 and expect the growing trend to continue this year.     A colorful parade on the Venice boardwalk should not come as a surprise but on Saturday afternoon of Martin Luther King Jr. weekend they came with music and a serious message. Over 50 demonstrators escorted by police and a marching band of sorts held up posters. They were trying to raise awareness for the impoverished.
