The Annual All-New One-Time-Only New Year’s Eve Musical Revue!

December 31,6:00 PM and 9:30 PM

A scrumptious and sumptuous complimentary buffet supper starts off the evening, then it’s “on with the show!” as internationally acclaimed Actors’ Repertory Theatre brings you a highly entertaining, family-friendly Rudie-DeCarlo musical revue, with prizes, sing-a-long songs, dancing in the aisles, humor and other delights culled from 5 decades of audience favorite Santa Monica Playhouse productions. From finger-snapping 40s jazz to foot-stompin’ country rock, Jewish patter songs to romantic ballads, this show has it all! Add champagne, non-alcoholic sparkling apple juice, hats, tiaras, noisemakers, leis, streamers and special surprises and you have a not-to-be-missed New Year’s Eve celebration.

Happy Birthday Marion!

January 11, 11am-2pm

On Sunday, January 11, Santa Monica Conservancy docents turn the spotlight on Marion Davies: actress, philanthropist, famed party hostess and mistress of media tycoon William Randolph Hearst. The event takes place at Davies’ 1928 Julia Morgan designed Guest House at the Annenberg Community Beach House. Join docents as they highlight the woman often celebrated as the “bubbles in a glass of champagne.”

Guests are welcome to come in their favorite Gold Coast era attire or in costume as if attending one of Davies’s famed costume parties.

Miss Dakota’s Gypsy Rose

Miss Dakota’s Gypsy Rose is a full dance production that infuses Classic Burlesque with Latin, Ballet, Cabaret, and Aerial influences starring Miss Dakota along side a bevy of professional dancers, specialty acts, and surprise guests that use every inch of the venue for their stage. Gypsy Rose takes its audience for an invigorating adventure through 3 acts, each more exciting and surprising than the last, keeping guests on the edge of their seats. Not suitable for children.

State of the City

The annual State of the City breakfast networking and educational event brings together the Santa Monica business and resident community with, city government leaders to hear the annual economic report and learn about new initiatives impacting our city. This year’s event will highlight the game changers of our community. Each year small and large business are acknowledged that have contributed to the economic success of our city while demonstrating commitment to the wellbeing of our community are given City Manager, Rod Gould will speak and be recognized for his service to the community these last five years. Art Los Angeles Contemporary 2015

Art Los Angeles Contemporary (ALAC) is the International Contemporary Art Fair of the West Coast. The annual fair presents top blue chip and emerging galleries from around the world, with a strong focus on Los Angeles galleries, exhibiting dynamic recent works from their represented artists. ALAC displays a cross section of what is happening now in contemporary art making and is a sophisticated yet accessible environment for all to enjoy. The weekend-long fair also offers public programs such as art talks and video screenings, included in the ticket price.
