Regency Hotel Fire in Baldwin Park; 5 Suffer Smoke Inhalation

Quick work by LA County Fire Results in No Deaths or Serious Injuries, despite extensive damage

The Regency Inn was the site of a 2 alarm fire

A four story hotel burned in Baldwin Park, CA tonight. 5 guests suffered smoke inhalation, but quick work by the Los Angeles County Fire Department prevented anyone from being seriously injured.

A heavy presence of fire fighters were seen at the La Puente exit to the 405 freeway. The fire was contained to one unit on the third floor. The 2 alarm fire at the Regency Inn, a 187 room hotel located at the intersection of Merced and Dalewood Street, caused delays on the freewy.
