Pro Trump Protest at the Federal Building in Westwood Sunday April 22, 2018

Mexicans for Trump, the Gun Rights crowd, and Pro Lifers all gathered on Wilshire Blvd.

4/22: Hundreds of Trump supporters rallied at the Federal  building Sunday, bearing signs like "Honk for Trump" or "He Won Get Over It!"

Some thanked President Donald Trump'sfor  decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. About 300 protesters demonstrated against Trump's announcement last week to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv, so this was in some ways a counter protest.

Trump spent one night in March at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown hotel in the Wilshire Grand building. Trump says California's policy of refusing to cooperate with federal immigration authorities is unconstitutional, dangerous and "MUST STOP!"

Interestingly, at least one protestor bore a sign that said "Mexicans for Trump." Trump made stricter immigration policies a cornerstone of his campaign.

An "emergency protest" was set up in downtown Los Angeles last Saturday in response to the U.S.-led airstrikes on Syria done the night before. Protests erupted around the same time in 2017, after President Donald Trump ordered Tomahawk missiles to strike a Syrian airfield in response to a sarin gas. The pro trump protests this week were a response.

The Federal Building in Westwood is the largest US Government facility on LA's Westside, and is often the scene of protests.
