Two Toddlers kidnapped from Grandparents in Hemet, Believed to be in Venice or Santa Monica

Riverside Sheriffs ask for public assistance in finding two toddlers

Two children abducted by their addict parents from Hemet to Santa Monica, police said. The children are 7 and 23 months old.

The children, Sione and Akanesi, were taken from the grandparents' home in the 44100 block of Gallipoli Place about 11:45 a.m. Friday by their parents, Samiuela Stevens and Megan Sweesy, and Stevens' twin brother, Hamani Stevens, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The grandparents say the parents addiction and "mental health issues" caused them to lose custody of their own children in court.

They are believed to be in Los Angeles County, in particular they may be in Venice or Santa Monica, police said. They were last seen driving a black 2000 Nissan Altima with Utah license plate U094T.

Two children, a 23-month-old and a 7-month old, authorities said were abducted by their biological parents from their grandparent's home in Hemet were searched for Monday and deputies believe they may be in the West Los Angeles area.
