What is Tacotopia? Can You Find Hot Sauce on Instagram?

You may have seen this pop-up on the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica.

If you love tacos, you'll love Tacotopia. While from the name it seems like it could be a taco restaurant, Tacotopia actually an art installation presented by hot sauce brand Cholula, or as they phrase it on their website, an "instagrammable amusement park disguised as a pop-up museum."

Inside, there are over 25 experiences to try! These line the walls on all sides in bright colors with fun themes. Just to list a few, there is a foam pit mimicking guacamole, an avocado chair, a salsa bar, and a giant mechanical taco.

This exhibit is perfect for everyone. It's family friendly fun so all ages could participate and end the experience with loads of unique and funny photos. Since Tacotopia is advertised as an instagram-playground of sorts, I recommend taking full advantage of all the fun opportunities that are there.

With this experience, you receive a free Jarritos soda, sample of chips and sauces, and a mini Cholula sauce to take home. You are also given a voucher for a free taco at Azule Taqueria, a restaurant which is located nearby.

At the end of the experience, there is a small shop with products like taco covered phone cases and taco inspired puns on t-shirts. Overall, this is a unique experience and if you are looking for a fun activity or something a little different, this is certainly something to check out.
